LDAP user groups
To use LDAP for user authentication in IRIS Focus, you first need to create LDAP user groups, and then map the groups to IRIS Focus roles. The LDAP user groups can be pre-existing or you can create them for this purpose. The group names can be any strings.
For example, the following LDAP groups allow any type of user to be created in IRIS Focus:
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_USER
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_POWERUSER
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_ADMIN
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_KIOSK
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_FOCUS_RADAR
- GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_FOCUS_LGT
If you want an LDAP user to have several roles in Focus (for example, poweruser and Focus Weather Radar roles), the LDAP user must be a member of several LDAP groups (in this example, GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_POWERUSER and GRP_USER_IRISFOCUS_FOCUS_RADAR.)
